Part 01
Terms of Use
Please read these Terms carefully. Section 15 requires most disputes to be resolved through binding individual arbitration, not in court, and waives class actions and jury trials. You can opt out of arbitration within 30 days, as explained in Section 15.
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
Far & Free is a podcast hosted by Braeden Parsons and produced by Missionary Coffee LLC, an Idaho limited liability company ("Missionary Coffee," "we," "us" or "our"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of farandfreepodcast.com, the Far & Free podcast and its episodes, our emails, text messages, forms, voice question line and any related pages or services we operate (together, the "Services").
By using the Services, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy, Text Message Terms, Submission Terms, Disclaimers and Copyright Policy on this page, each of which is part of these Terms (together, the "Policies"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Who may use the Services
Anyone may browse the site and listen to the show. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to submit any form, recording, application, request or personal information to us. If you use the Services on behalf of a church, ministry, agency or company, you confirm you are authorized to accept these Terms for it, and "you" includes that organization.
3. Our content and trademarks
The Services, including episodes, show notes, artwork, audio, video, text, design, graphics, software and the names and logos "Far & Free" and "Missionary Coffee," are owned by Missionary Coffee or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to access and listen to the Services for your personal, non-commercial use.
You are welcome to share links to episodes and quote short excerpts with credit to Far & Free. You may not, without our written permission: copy, re-upload, re-publish, sell or commercially exploit our content; edit our episodes into clips for commercial use; remove copyright or attribution notices; use our names or logos in a way that suggests we endorse you; or use our content to train, fine-tune or build any artificial intelligence or machine learning model.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break any law or anyone's rights while using the Services;
- submit anything false, misleading, defamatory, harassing, hateful, obscene or threatening;
- impersonate anyone or misrepresent who you are or who you work with;
- submit someone else's personal information, voice or story without their permission;
- scrape, crawl, harvest or copy the Services by automated means, or bypass any security or rate limit;
- upload malware, spam, or anything that could damage, overload or interfere with the Services; or
- use our forms, voice line or contact information to send advertising or solicitations we did not ask for.
5. Guest, interview, speaking and sponsor requests
Applying to be a guest, requesting an interview or speaking engagement, or asking about sponsorship is a request only. It does not create a booking, contract, partnership or obligation for either of us. If it looks like a good fit, we will reach out to have a conversation. We may decline any request for any reason, including fit with the show's mission and values.
Guest appearances are governed by a separate guest release you sign before recording. Speaking engagements and sponsorships are governed by a separate written agreement signed by both sides. If any of those agreements conflicts with these Terms, that agreement controls for its subject.
6. Free resources and waitlists
The Far & Free Field Notes email is free. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in any email.
Joining the Missionary Coffee waitlist does not reserve a spot, create a purchase or guarantee that any product, program or service will launch, or when, at what price or with what results. Any future offer will come with its own terms, which will control. Missionary Fundraiser and any other software we offer is governed by the separate terms of service and privacy policy you accept when you create an account.
7. Purchases
This site does not process payments. Any purchase you make through a checkout page we or our partners operate is governed by the price, refund and other terms shown at checkout and in any agreement you sign.
8. Third-party services and links
The Services link to or embed services we do not control, such as Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Instagram, our form and scheduling provider, guests' websites and sponsors. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. A link or mention is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for third-party content, products, services or practices.
9. Your submissions
Anything you send us, including voice questions, stories, applications and feedback, is covered by the Submission Terms below, which are part of these Terms.
10. Feedback
If you send us ideas or suggestions about the show or our products, you agree we may use them freely, without paying you or owing you any confidentiality, credit or other obligation.
11. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MISSIONARY COFFEE DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT AND ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS, OR THAT ANY CONTENT IS COMPLETE OR CURRENT.
12. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) MISSIONARY COFFEE AND ITS OWNERS, MEMBERS, MANAGERS, HOST, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DONATIONS, SUPPORT, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THOSE DAMAGES; AND (B) OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100).
Some places do not allow certain disclaimers or limits, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, gross negligence or willful misconduct.
13. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Missionary Coffee and its owners, members, managers, host, employees, contractors and agents from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your submissions, your misuse of the Services or your violation of these Terms, the law or anyone's rights.
14. Suspension and ending access
We may suspend or end your access to any part of the Services at any time if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms or to protect the Services, our audience or others. Sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 3 and 9 through 19 and the Submission Terms) survive any ending.
15. Dispute resolution: arbitration and class action waiver
Talk to us first. Before starting any claim, the party with the dispute must send a written notice describing it and the relief requested. Notices to us go to admin@missionarycoffee.com or by mail to the address in the Contact section. Both sides will try in good faith to resolve the dispute for at least 60 days before starting arbitration. Any time limit to bring a claim is paused during this period.
Binding individual arbitration. Except as stated below, any dispute, claim or controversy arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms, including their formation, scope or enforceability, will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules then in effect. The Federal Arbitration Act governs this Section. The arbitrator may award the same individual relief a court could, but only to the individual party seeking it and only as needed to address that party's individual claim. The arbitration will take place by video conference or in Kootenai County, Idaho, unless the parties agree otherwise. For claims of $10,000 or less, the arbitration may be decided on written submissions alone if the claimant chooses.
Costs. If you start arbitration for a claim made in good faith, we will pay any AAA filing, administration and arbitrator fees beyond what you would have paid to file in court. Each side pays its own attorneys' fees unless the arbitrator awards them under applicable law.
Exceptions. Either side may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies. Either side may also go to court to stop actual or threatened infringement or misuse of intellectual property.
CLASS ACTION AND JURY TRIAL WAIVER. YOU AND MISSIONARY COFFEE EACH AGREE TO BRING CLAIMS ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. YOU AND MISSIONARY COFFEE EACH WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL.
Mass filings. If 25 or more similar demands for arbitration are filed against us by the same or coordinated counsel, the AAA's Mass Arbitration Supplementary Rules will apply, and the parties will cooperate in good faith on a process to resolve them efficiently.
If part of this Section fails. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable as to any claim, that claim (and only that claim) will be decided in court under Section 16 after all individual arbitrable claims are resolved. Otherwise, any unenforceable part of this Section will be severed and the rest enforced.
Your right to opt out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing admin@missionarycoffee.com with the subject "Arbitration opt-out" and your name and email address within 30 days after you first accept these Terms. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
16. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict of law rules, except that the Federal Arbitration Act governs Section 15. Any claim not subject to arbitration will be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Kootenai County, Idaho, and both parties consent to their personal jurisdiction there. You may still bring a qualifying claim in small claims court where you live.
17. Time to bring a claim
To the extent permitted by law, any claim arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms must be brought within one year after it arises, or it is permanently barred.
18. Changes to these Policies
We may update these Policies from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new date and, for material changes, give reasonable notice on the site or by email. Changes apply from their effective date, and continuing to use the Services after that means you accept them. If we make a material change to Section 15, you may reject it by emailing us within 30 days of the change, and the prior version of Section 15 will continue to apply to you. Changes never apply to a dispute already noticed under Section 15.
19. General
These Policies, together with any separate agreement referenced in them, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services. If any provision is found unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. You agree that we may communicate with you electronically and that electronic notices satisfy any requirement that they be in writing. "Including" means "including without limitation." Headings are for convenience only.
Part 02
Privacy Policy
We collect what we need to send you the show, answer you and run Far & Free well. We do not sell it. Here is exactly how it works.
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Missionary Coffee LLC is responsible for the personal information described here. This policy covers information collected through farandfreepodcast.com, our forms, our voice question line, and the emails, texts and calls we send about Far & Free. It does not cover Missionary Fundraiser or other apps that have their own privacy policy, or podcast apps and social platforms like Apple Podcasts, Spotify and Instagram, which collect information under their own policies and give us only general, aggregated listening statistics.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. Depending on what you do, this can include:
- Contact details: name, email address and phone number.
- About you and your work: which roles describe you (for example missionary, pastor, founder or agency leader), your church, ministry, agency or company, your role, and your website or social handles.
- Requests and applications: guest applications, interview and speaking requests (event details, dates, location and audience), sponsorship inquiries (company and campaign details), and waitlist answers.
- Voice questions: your audio recording or uploaded voice memo, its length, and the email address you send it from. Your voice and anything you say in a recording is part of what we receive.
- Messages: emails, text replies and anything else you send us.
- Consent records: whether you agreed to texts and calls, the wording you agreed to, and when.
Sensitive information. Some answers, like being a missionary or pastor, may reveal your religious beliefs, and you might share health, family or other personal details in a story or recording. You choose whether to share these. By submitting them, you consent to our processing them for the purposes in this policy. We do not use sensitive information to infer characteristics about you, and we never sell it. We do not use voice recordings to create voiceprints or to identify anyone biometrically.
Information collected automatically. When you visit, our hosting and security provider and our form provider receive technical information such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring page and timestamps. This is used to deliver pages, keep the site secure, prevent spam and fraud, and understand which pages and forms work.
Cookies and similar technology. Our own pages do not use advertising cookies or ad pixels. Our embedded forms may use cookies or local storage to make the forms work, prevent duplicate or spam submissions, and record which page a submission came from. You can block or delete cookies in your browser, though some forms may not work properly. If we add analytics or advertising technology, we will update this policy first and provide any opt-outs the law requires.
Information from others. Someone may recommend you as a guest. We may also review public information, like your website or public social profiles, when considering a guest, speaking or sponsor request.
3. How we use information
- to send the Field Notes email and other updates you asked for;
- to answer your questions, requests and applications, and to decide if a guest, speaking or sponsor opportunity is a good fit;
- to produce the show, including reviewing, editing and playing voice questions as described in the Submission Terms;
- to send texts and calls if you agreed to them (see the Text Message Terms);
- to tell you about Far & Free, Missionary Coffee and Missionary Fundraiser, which you can opt out of at any time;
- to operate, secure, troubleshoot and improve the Services, and to prevent spam, fraud and abuse;
- to keep records of consent and opt-outs, and to comply with law and enforce our Policies.
We may use service providers, including transcription and editing tools that use artificial intelligence, to help process recordings and messages for these purposes. We do not authorize them to use your information for their own purposes, including training their own models. We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
We share personal information only as follows:
- Service providers that work for us under contract and may use it only to provide their services, including our CRM, form, email and text messaging platform (HighLevel / LeadConnector); our website hosting, security and storage provider (Cloudflare); our email delivery provider for the voice line (Resend); telecommunications carriers; and podcast production, editing, hosting and distribution providers.
- The public, when you choose. If your voice question, story or interview is used on the show, it becomes public as described in the Submission Terms.
- Legal and safety. When we believe in good faith it is required by law or legal process, or needed to protect the rights, property or safety of you, us or others.
- Business transfers. As part of a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
- With your consent or at your direction.
Text messaging data. We do not sell, rent or share mobile phone numbers, text messaging opt-in data or consent with any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. All of the categories of sharing above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. This information is shared only with the service providers and carriers that deliver our messages.
5. How long we keep information
- Email subscribers: while you are subscribed, plus a reasonable period after you unsubscribe. We keep your opt-out so we do not email you again.
- Voice questions not used on the show: up to 24 months after we receive them, then deleted.
- Voice questions and interviews used on the show: as part of the published episode archive, for as long as the episode is published.
- Guest, speaking, sponsor and waitlist submissions: up to 24 months after our last contact, unless we start working together.
- Text and call consent and opt-out records: at least 5 years, to prove consent and honor opt-outs.
We may keep information longer when the law requires it or to resolve disputes and enforce our agreements.
6. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as the law requires.
7. Your choices
- Email: click "unsubscribe" in any email.
- Texts: reply STOP. You can also email us to opt out of texts or calls.
- Your information: email admin@missionarycoffee.com to see, correct or delete it.
- Browser signals: because we do not sell or share personal information, there is nothing to opt out of. We still treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a valid opt-out request where the law requires it.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and other U.S. states, you may have the right to: know and access the personal information we have about you; correct it; delete it; get a portable copy; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising and certain profiling; limit the use of sensitive personal information; and appeal our decision on a request. We extend these rights to everyone, wherever you live.
How to make a request. Email admin@missionarycoffee.com with the subject "Privacy request," or write to the address in the Contact section. We will verify your request by confirming information we already have, usually through your email address. You may use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof of their authority and confirm the request with you. We respond within 45 days and may extend that by another 45 days when reasonably necessary, with notice.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying with the word "Appeal." We will respond within the time required by law. If we deny your appeal, you may contact your state attorney general.
No discrimination. We will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.
9. Notice at collection for California residents
In the past 12 months we have collected these categories of personal information, from the sources and for the purposes described above:
| Category | Examples | Disclosed for a business purpose to |
|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email, phone, IP address | Service providers |
| Customer records | Contact details, organization | Service providers |
| Characteristics of protected classifications | Religion, only if you share it | Service providers |
| Internet activity | Pages viewed, referrer, device data | Service providers |
| Audio information | Voice question recordings | Service providers; the public if aired |
| Professional information | Ministry or company role | Service providers |
| Sensitive personal information | Religious beliefs, only if you share them | Service providers |
We do not sell or share any category of personal information, and we have no actual knowledge of selling or sharing the personal information of anyone under 16. We use sensitive personal information only for purposes permitted by law and not to infer characteristics about you. Retention periods are in Section 5. Under California's "Shine the Light" law, we do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.
10. Visitors outside the United States
We are based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored here, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or a similar place, we rely on these legal bases: your consent (for example, for marketing and voice submissions); performing our arrangement with you or taking steps you ask for; our legitimate interests in running and improving the show and keeping it secure; and compliance with law. You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time, and you may complain to your local data protection authority.
11. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and you must be 18 to submit information to us. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We will post any changes here with a new date. For material changes, we will give reasonable notice on the site or by email.

Your number. You confirm you are the subscriber or the authorized user of the mobile number you give us. If you give up or change that number, please tell us so we do not text the next owner.
Part 04
Your Submissions
When you send us your voice or your story, here is what we can do with it, and what we promise in return.
1. What this covers
These Submission Terms apply to anything you send us through the Services, including voice questions, uploaded voice memos, questions, stories, comments, photos, guest applications and other materials (each a "Submission").
2. You keep ownership. You give us a license.
You keep ownership of your Submission. By sending it, you grant Missionary Coffee and those working on its behalf a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, edit, excerpt, transcribe, translate, adapt, publish, distribute, publicly perform and display your Submission, in whole or in part, in any media now known or later developed. This includes using it in Far & Free episodes, clips, show notes, transcripts, social media posts and promotion of the show.
3. Your name and voice
You also give us permission to use your voice and the name and general location you give us (for example, "Sarah from Ohio") with your Submission, without payment. If you want your name left out, say so in your recording or email us before your episode is published, and we will honor it. We will not attribute your Submission to anyone else.
4. How we edit
We may edit Submissions for length, clarity, sound quality and content, and we may add our own commentary. We will not edit your words to change their meaning in a misleading way. We are not obligated to use, play or respond to any Submission.
5. Your promises
When you send a Submission, you confirm that:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- it is your own original content, and you have every right needed to grant the license above;
- it does not include anyone else's voice, private information or identifying story without their permission, and does not include music or other material owned by someone else; and
- it is truthful to the best of your knowledge, lawful, and not defamatory.
Please do not include anything you would not want made public, like your last name, address, health details or information about other people. If you talk about others, use first names only or no names.
6. No payment and no confidentiality
Submissions are voluntary and unpaid. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, Submissions are not confidential, and we may independently create content similar to yours. To the extent the law allows, you waive any moral rights in your Submission.
7. After an episode is published
Once an episode is published, copies are distributed through podcast platforms and may be downloaded by listeners, so we cannot recall them. If you want your Submission taken down, email us. We will make reasonable efforts to stop using it in future promotion and will consider removing it from the episode, but we are not required to re-edit or remove published episodes. Your privacy rights over the records we keep still apply.
8. Guests
Guests who appear on the show sign a separate guest release, which controls if it conflicts with these Submission Terms.
Part 05
Disclaimers
Encouragement and education, not advice
Far & Free shares stories and opinions for encouragement and education. Nothing in the show, on this site or in our emails or texts is financial, investment, legal, tax, medical, mental health or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for guidance from your church, pastor, sending agency or qualified advisors who know your situation. Always do your own research and get your own advice before making decisions about your ministry, fundraising, finances, health, travel or career.
Guest views are their own
Guests speak for themselves. Their views, theology, claims and recommendations are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of Braeden Parsons or Missionary Coffee. Having someone on the show, or mentioning an organization, product or resource, is not an endorsement.
No guarantee of results
Stories and results shared on the show, including support raised, funds received, ministries started, audiences reached or income earned, are the experiences of those individuals. They are not typical and are not a promise or prediction of what you will achieve. Your results depend on your calling, effort, skills, circumstances, relationships and many other factors. Any statements about future plans, including the Missionary Coffee waitlist, are forward-looking and may change.
Travel, missions and adventure carry real risk
Many stories on the show involve international travel, missions work, the outdoors and other risky activities. These activities can involve injury, illness, legal, political and security risks. If you choose to do any of them, you do so at your own risk. Check official travel advisories, follow your agency's security protocols, and get proper training, insurance and medical advice before you go.
Sponsors, affiliates and our own products
Some episodes are sponsored, and we clearly disclose sponsored segments. Some links may be affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Missionary Coffee owns Missionary Fundraiser and Missionary Coffee, so when we talk about them on the show, we are talking about our own products and have a financial interest in them. We only promote products and partners we believe can help our audience.
We are a company, not a charity
Missionary Coffee LLC is a for-profit company. It is not a church, charity, 501(c)(3) organization, fiscal sponsor or professional fundraiser. Nothing on this site asks for a tax-deductible donation to Missionary Coffee. Any gift you give a missionary or ministry goes to them or their organization under their own terms.
Accuracy
Episodes reflect information as of the date they were recorded. Laws, organizations, prices and facts change, and the show may contain errors or omissions. We are not obligated to update past episodes.
Part 06
Copyright Policy
We respect intellectual property rights and respond to notices under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). If you believe content on the Services infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent that includes:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- a description of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed;
- a description of the material you believe is infringing and where it is located on the Services, such as a link and the time in an episode;
- your name, address, phone number and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Designated copyright agent: Braeden Parsons, Missionary Coffee LLC, 8655 N Courcelles Pkwy, Hayden, ID 83835. Email: admin@missionarycoffee.com. Phone: (208) 771-5900.
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter notice that meets the requirements of 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3). We may share notices with the person who posted the content. Knowingly false notices can create liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). We will end access for repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
